Visions of the Flint Hills

Three recent joomchi printed works from my Tallgrass Impressions project will be exhibited in this benefit group art show for the Friends of the Konza Prairie. Work by artists, who reflect on the Flint Hills, is showcased in this annual juried event in Kansas City.

600 Biennial: Textile + Fiber
Amarillo Museum of Art
October 11 - December 22, 2019

AMoA Biennial 600: Textile + Fiber is the eighth in an ongoing series of juried biennial exhibitions exploring specific areas of artistic practice, material, and content. Artworks were selected by Juror Alec Unkovic from entries submitted by artists residing within a 600-mile radius of Amarillo, Texas. My most recent large scale joomchi piece, Glimmer, has been juried into this large regional exhibition.

The opening reception is on October 11, 2019, 6:30 to 9:00 PM. Alex Unkovic, Exhibitions Manager at the Fabric Workshop and Museum in Philadelphia, will give a gallery talk at 7:15 PM.

The Amarillo Museum of Art is located in the Amarillo Cultural District, Texas Commission on the Arts State Cultural District at 2200 South Van Buren, Amarillo, Texas.
